Keith surveys the scene

"Get a Hobby!"

The constant retort to news about my impending retirement from a property consultancy established by my business partner and I in 1993. Sadly, I can only hit one in a hundred golf balls the required distance and gardening just isn’t my thing. I have always enjoyed photography from my very first Olympus Trip to the current Nikon Zf, via spells with a Pentax ME Super, Cannon and a Leica V-Lux.

The guides at Chitabe Lediba in the Okavango Delta convinced me to upgrade to my latest ‘kit’, with an analogy to the advances in mobile ‘phone technology since my first visit. All well and good, but I still use my trusty Nokia ‘brick’ during global travels; business or pleasure. However, advice accepted, I now find myself wishing that my new improved ‘strike rate’ was with me many years ago throughout our holidays. Or maybe not, as a roll of 24 Kodak film certainly focused the eye; if you excuse the pun.

Technology is certainly not my speciality subject. None of the photographs within my portfolio have been through photoshop editing. The occasional crop and highlight accepted; the pictures are about a close to the ‘in camera’ view as possible.

The website is a selection of many thousands of photographs taken over the years in the company of my wife, twins and travel companions.

I hope that you enjoy the snapshot of the continents and the photographs, as much as I have enjoyed my time behind the lens.
